Overview

This website is operated by Southern Sewing of Montevallo, Alabama. By visiting the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version posted here is the one in force.

Custom orders

Our cushions are made to order from the measurements, fabric and options you select in the online designer or provide to us directly. Prices shown in the designer are quotes for the configuration you enter and may change if the configuration changes.

Confirmation drawing

After you order, we email a confirmation drawing within 2 business days. Please check every measurement and option. Production does not start until you approve the drawing, and the approved drawing is the specification we build to. Approval may be given by email reply or by clicking the approval link in the email.

Measurements

You are responsible for the accuracy of the measurements you submit. Odd shapes require the old cushion or a paper pattern; a $25 template fee per shape applies. Cushions sewn to the approved drawing that do not fit are handled under our Refund Policy.

Payment

Orders placed through the website are paid in full at checkout. Quoted, private-label and large-run orders require a 50% deposit before cutting and the balance before shipping unless other terms are agreed in writing. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Cancellations and changes

Orders may be cancelled or changed free of charge until the confirmation drawing is approved. After approval, fabric already cut is billed at cost; once sewing has started the order is non-cancellable.

Fabric and materials

Sunbrella fabrics carry the manufacturer's 5-year warranty against fading and loss of strength; normal wear, cuts and improper cleaning are excluded. Colors on screen are approximate and samples are available on request. Customer-supplied material is used at the customer's risk for flaws and yield, and must arrive clean and uncut unless agreed otherwise.

Shipping, returns and claims

Shipping, delivery, damage claims and returns are governed by our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these terms.

Trade accounts

Trade pricing is offered to approved businesses for resale or client projects and may not be shared or advertised. Southern Sewing may approve, decline or close a trade account at its discretion and may request updated resale documentation. Private-label tags and packaging are produced to the customer's artwork, and the customer warrants it holds the rights to that artwork.

Accuracy of information

We work to keep product descriptions, prices and lead times accurate, but errors can occur. If we discover an error in an order before it is confirmed we will contact you to correct or cancel it. We may limit quantities or refuse an order at our discretion.

Intellectual property

The designs, drawings, photographs and text on this site belong to Southern Sewing and may not be copied or reused without permission. Designs you create in the cushion designer are yours to use for your own order.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delays beyond our control such as carrier or fabric-mill delays.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States.
